Frequently Asked Questions

Meyer’s grantmaking through its new strategic framework will be by invitation only through Spring 2024.

We are currently working to set up the staff and structure required to best support our funding priorities, including how we will learn from them to drive our collective impact. We appreciate your continued patience as we take the time and steps to ensure that we do this in alignment with our mission.

What does this mean for organizations seeking grant funding from Meyer?

Organizations with currently assigned Program Officers can connect with them directly regarding specific opportunities for funding.

New organizations, those representing emergent efforts and prior-funded organizations without an active grant or assigned program officer may (re-)introduce themselves via an email to questions [at] (questions[at]mmt[dot]org). Due to limited programmatic staffing at this time, we are unable to guarantee follow up conversations or schedule meetings or calls in advance of an introductory email.

Our website and newsletter are still the best way to stay up to date on grant or grant-related opportunities.

What are Meyer’s funding areas now?

Those who are familiar with Meyer will recognize that many of the issue areas we funded in the past continue to be represented in Meyer’s new funding priorities. Ultimately, we are working towards an Oregon that supports and advances:

Our Empowered Youth - Where our children have access to a fully resourced education that helps them to realize their highest ambitions.

Our Collective Prosperity - Where everyone is able to support themselves, their families and their communities while building wealth for the next generation.

Our Resilient Places - Where we care for our natural and built environments in ways that are rooted in culture and community.

Our Shared Purpose - Working in coordination with peer funders, our business community and state/local government.

Together, We Rise recognizes that we all benefit when organizations are effective and have the capacity to fulfill their missions. That includes making sure strong networks of leaders of color are supported and communities have the capacity to advocate for systems change.

How can I learn more about what you will fund in these areas?

We will post the latest information on funding opportunities on our website. Subscribe to our newsletter to make sure you receive the latest updates.
