Grant grew up in South Africa. He set off to see the world for a few years and ended up staying in Portland. He has always been a volunteer sort involved with do-gooder causes who wants to make the world a little better, and Meyer is a good fit for him.

Grant is an active volunteer with Social Justice Fund NW. Prior volunteering includes IRCO, Earthlife Africa, Worldcon, Jackson Friends of the Animal Shelter, Friends of the Cat and more.
Grant has worked at Meyer since 2008.
