For a colonized people the most essential value, because the most concrete, is first and foremost the land: the land which will bring them bread and, above all, dignity.
Frantz Fanon

Katherine is driven by bold acts of courage and commitment to equity.

A commitment to learning and using knowledge to advocate for others brought her to Meyer.

“I am here because of all the actions taken by my parents, grandparents and those before them. I am here to build upon my talents and maximize opportunities, so that the future can shine brighter. I pursue my role because it is a field where not too many women, especially women of color, are playing in. I wanted to challenge myself and walk through doors that have seldom been opened for women like me. I bring my tenacity, love for numbers and a broad perspective to this role at Meyer.”

Before Meyer, Katherine had the opportunity to travel to five continents with her first love, dance. Cultural dance enabled her to see the connections between history and present realities. Katherine has been inspired by the universality of the human spirit, and the determination to strive that is found among those often seen as disenfranchised.

Katherine joined the Meyer team in 2015
