Justice Oregon for Black Lives

Investing with Community

Started in 2020 after the murder of George Floyd, Justice Oregon for Black Lives is Meyer's largest initiative to date. It aims to uplift Black Oregonians through deeper, community-specific investments. This video, made by a Justice Oregon grantee, highlights the work of three grantee organizations and explores the intention behind the ongoing initiative.

SAFE Grants for Oregon

Grassroots organizations in Oregon facing urgent threats now have a new resource for support. Borealis Philanthropy, with funding from Meyer Memorial Trust, has launched the Oregon round of SAFE (Security, Action, and Freedom for Everyone) grants.

SAFE is a rapid-response fund designed to help community based groups protect their teams, strengthen infrastructure and respond to emerging threats. If your organization is on the frontlines of reproductive rights, racial justice, trans rights or immigrant justice, you may be eligible.

SAFE funding is designed to meet urgent needs, helping groups respond quickly and effectively in times of crisis. If your organization is under threat and needs resources to stay safe and continue your work, we encourage you to apply.
