Together, We Rise
Creating the conditions for justice
Investing in Long-Term Change
Together, We Rise is Meyer's strategic initiative focused on long-term power building in communities most impacted by injustice. Rather than focusing on individual issues, this body of work strengthens the capacity for collective action and helps sustain the conditions that allow justice to take root and grow. We support leadership development, civic engagement, community organizing and movement infrastructure—especially efforts led by Black, Indigenous, immigrant and refugee communities. By investing in the people and networks driving change, Together, We Rise helps create a healthier democracy and a more just Oregon.
Together, We Rise Strategies
Leadership Development
We support leaders from historically marginalized communities—especially Black, Indigenous, immigrant and refugee communities—to grow their skills, deepen their knowledge and lead in ways that reflect their lived experience. This includes training, mentorship, professional development and healing practices rooted in culture and community.
Organizing and Civic Engagement
We fund efforts that bring people together to build power, strengthen community voice and increase participation in civic life. This includes grassroots organizing, voter engagement, coalition building and other work that helps communities influence the policies and decisions that affect them.
Movement and Field Building
We invest in the infrastructure that helps movements last. This includes support for partnerships, shared strategies and networks that connect work across issues and communities, and support for the resources and expertise that movement-focused groups rely on. By strengthening collaboration and coordination, we help create the conditions for long-term, systems-level change.
