She / Her
You cannot change any society unless you take responsibility for it, unless you see yourself as belonging to it and responsible for changing it.— Grace Lee Boggs
Kathleen Kee brings more than 40 years of wealth advisory and leadership experience to the Meyer board.
As a woman and a woman of color, Kathleen has achieved the unexpected as a business owner and advisor, creating a successful team in a profession traditionally dominated by men. Now a Senior Wealth Advisor at Focus Partners Wealth, she was the CEO of Confluence Wealth Management before the firm joined Buckingham Strategic Wealth in 2020. She worked at Confluence for 20 years, after opening the first financial planning offices for a national bank and working at other wealth management firms in and around the Seattle area.
Kathleen’s leadership extends beyond her professional life into her extensive community involvement. She serves as treasurer for the International Women’s Forum of Oregon, and is a past president of Randall Children’s Hospital's Board of Trustees. She also serves as a board member of Friends of the Children Southwest Washington, the Portland Business Alliance and a number of other economic equity and cultural preservation organizations. In 2021, Kee received a Women of Influence award from the Portland Business Journal.
Giving back to the community is a part of who I am. We are all connected as a community and we have to share in the responsibility to work together with respect and optimism to improve and solve the many injustices around us. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the board of directors and the team at Meyer that has given so much to the state and its people.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University and an MBA from Washington State University. A Portland native, she now lives with her family and three dogs in Vancouver, Wash. She loves being at the coast as much as possible and spending time in their home in Hoonah, Alaska.
Kathleen joined the board in January 2025.
