Hear me say my name

With a little more love and a little more laughter. A little more good vibes, less disaster. You know today would be a very good day just to have a good day. All day long.
Michael Franti

As the director of people & culture, Mark focuses on fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing the employee experience for all Meyer employees. He designs, leads and administers all aspects of People & Culture operations in a way that centers employees, builds trust and strengthens Meyer as an organization.

Meyer’s value of curiosity deeply resonates with Mark. He believes in leveraging individuals' strengths to achieve success and embracing a growth mindset, especially when things don’t go as planned.

Before joining Meyer, Mark served as the People & Culture Director at Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB). He’s also been an HR consultant to various nonprofits, including the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, Oregon Humanities, Parenting with Intent, and several small, culturally specific organizations. For 15 years, he was the Human Resources Director for the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO).

Mark holds a degree in ethnic studies and political science from the University of Oregon and is a certified Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). In his free time, he enjoys playing the banjo, drinking coffee, and birdwatching.

Mark joined Meyer in September 2024.
