Mark Kajitani

Vice President of Operations Mark Kajitani oversees Meyer’s people and culture, office operations and information technology teams. His work focuses on creating a positive employee experience, building organizational trust and ensuring operational excellence.

Meyer’s value of curiosity deeply resonates with Mark. He believes in leveraging individual strengths to achieve success and embracing a growth mindset, especially when things don’t go as planned.

Mark joined Meyer in September 2024 and was promoted to vice president of operations in September 2025. Before joining Meyer, Mark served as the people and culture director at Oregon Public Broadcasting. He has also been a human resources consultant to several nonprofits, including the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, Oregon Humanities, Parenting with Intent and a number of small, culturally specific organizations. For 15 years, he was the human resources director for the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization.

Mark holds a degree in ethnic studies and political science from the University of Oregon and is a certified Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). In his free time, he enjoys playing the banjo, drinking coffee and birdwatching.
