Katerin Echevarria

As the staff accountant, Katerin supports a wide range of operations for the entire organization, including payroll, accounts payable, grants payable and budgeting. 

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Katerin comes to Meyer with over eight years of experience in multiple industries. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in marketing management, she worked as a property accountant at Menashe Properties and held various accounting roles in nonprofits and retail.

Through this work, she is deeply passionate about positively impacting people’s lives.

“Working at Meyer makes me feel that I can contribute to society,” she says. “Where we work has a substantial influence on our daily lives, but it also presents an opportunity to contribute our strengths to make the world a better place.”

Katerin is inspired by the thousands of people from all over the world who come to America, embracing challenges and pushing through barriers to showcase their talents and capabilities. The stories of people like Diana Trujillo, an aerospace engineer who applied to the NASA Academy and became the first Hispanic immigrant woman admitted to the program, underscore her commitment to working toward a better future.

When she’s not working, she enjoys exploring new places, cultures and cuisines. She also loves learning, painting and adventuring outdoors.
