Judith Wiencken
Senior Responsible Investment Officer
she/her
Judy manages Meyer's responsible investment initiatives to ensure impact alignment for the investment portfolio. She manages the shareholder advocacy program and tracks and manages investment metrics related to ESG factors, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and diversity frameworks.
She assists the vice president of investments & finance with overseeing daily operations of the endowment, including optimizing technology initiatives and completing industry surveys. She intersects with Meyer’s MRI/PRI strategy to assist with our impact investing objectives and priorities.
Judy is most inspired when she feels connected to people, the work and the outcomes we achieve when we collaborate. With the wins, and even during the setbacks, we can count on each other to be committed and kind. Meyer’s value of interconnection reminds her how important it is to appreciate each other, to safeguard our resources and to have a positive attitude in the pursuit of justice and progress.
After over two decades as a commercial banker, she pivoted in 2017 to leverage her skills and knowledge to work for organizations dedicated to racial, gender and economic justice, specifically in support of women entrepreneurs and Portland’s Black community. She served as the director of investor relations at Xcelerate and the chief operations officer at Albina Vision Trust.
Judy holds a bachelor of science in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Willamette University, a certificate in ESG Investing from Columbia University, and an executive certificate in nonprofit fund Development from Notre Dame.
When she’s not navigating the investment ecosystem, Judy loves to golf, travel, go whitewater rafting and study foreign languages.
