Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
Howard Thurman

Dahnesh is motivated to find ways to center marginalized communities while making equity a shared priority for all of us.

Having the benefit of growing up with different cultural influences he has come to appreciate how wisdom can be drawn from different vantage points.  Centering traditionally marginalized communities is of particular interest and part of what drew Dahnesh to Meyer.

“Nonprofits are increasingly called on to address our community's most pressing needs. Building their capacity builds our collective capacity to create lasting social change.”

Prior to joining Meyer, Dahnesh served as the Senior Associate for Nonprofit Support at Education Northwest, where he supported collective impact projects with nonprofits and learning initiatives at governmental agencies including the Social Innovation Fund. As Director of Programs and Senior Consultant at the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, and as Director of Organizational Services at the National Community Development Institute, Dahnesh designed and managed cohort programs focused on organizations serving communities of color. While Director of External Relations at the Tides Foundation, he also worked with new and emerging social justice projects. When not working, Dahnesh enjoys entertaining his daughter who is still young enough to think he is hilarious.

Dahnesh joined Meyer in 2015.
