He / Him

I don’t want to sell anything, buy anything or process anything as a career. I don’t want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought or processed, or repair anything sold, bought or processed. You know, as a career, I don’t want to do that.
Lloyd Dobler

Brian wanted to be part of a workplace that strives to make a difference in people’s lives across Oregon. He started paying attention to the systems that helped or hurt people, wondering why so many of those resources became weapons against those they were designed to help. The more of this he identified, the less motivated he was to chase a piece of the profits being made on the backs of such injustices.

“I want to live in a world where people are considered before profits and where any human is more highly valued than any amount of cash. I want to see our profit motives replaced by human rights, universal health care and education, and an investment in environmental conservation. We can pay for this by taking tools of destruction out of the budget and by rethinking the model of blind consumption serving as ‘economic progress.’”

Brian has done his fair share of professional wandering, often times lost. He has sold, bought and processed in all the ways he hopes to never do again.

Brian joined the Meyer team in 2011.
