Hear me say my name

As the senior program officer for Our Collective Prosperity, Maribel supports community partners working to advance economic justice and wealth equity. Through partnerships, collaborations and co-funding relationships, she hopes that her efforts ensure that Oregon’s communities have the resources necessary to thrive and build intergenerational wealth.

Before joining the Meyer team, Maribel served on the senior management team at Adelante Mujeres, a nonprofit focused on Latina women and their families. During her tenure, she led programs in small business development, regenerative agriculture, nutrition and civic engagement. Her work in community and nonprofit management led her to the world of philanthropy, where she later joined the Oregon Community Foundation as a program officer leading efforts in economic vitality.

Maribel’s professional experience includes working with community-based organizations, government agencies and global corporations. She is an advocate for women's rights, social justice and equity. She has championed programs in women's entrepreneurship and led initiatives to create visibility and opportunities for a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

Maribel loves traveling, catching up on independent films, trying new cuisines and learning to play new music with her accordion.

Maribel joined Meyer in March 2024.
