Hear me say my name

Huy comes to Meyer Memorial Trust with over 25 years of experience as a community organizer, trainer, campaign strategist and leader, both locally and nationally. He leads Meyer’s Our Resilient Places portfolio, which aims to advance environmental and climate justice strategies while investing in movement building with frontline communities.

Outside of Meyer, he sits on several community boards and on Oregon’s Environmental Justice Council where he advises the governor and state natural resources agencies on environmental justice issues.

With his history in community organizing, Huy knows that genuine curiosity is necessary to build the types of trusting relationships required to advance Meyer’s mission. He believes frontline voices and expertise are critical to deepening our connection to the earth and each other.

In his spare time, Huy enjoys exploring a variety of subject matter and activities with his friends and family. Painting, puzzles and podcasts are some examples. He also enjoys sharing “dad jokes” with his daughter, Rosalía.

Huy joined Meyer in March 2024.
