Violeta is driven by a desire to learn and figure things out and make them work.
Born and raised in Paraguay, Violeta moved to the U.S. to attend college, where a class on social inequality changed her life. Many jobs, two degrees, and lots of experiences later, she now knows she is happiest developing, implementing and testing systems that make people’s lives easier, organizations healthier and communities happier.
"Our social and economic problems are so complex, there isn’t one single way to solve them. In this new era, I’m so proud to work for an organization that constantly seeks to find new ways to respond to the most pressing needs of Oregon communities.”
Violeta has been working in the public and nonprofit sectors since 2005. Prior to Meyer, she was the Program Administrator for the Northwest Workers’ Justice Project. She’s volunteered for dozens of organizations, both in Paraguay and in Oregon, and currently serves on the board of the NEED Fund and is the board secretary for the ReBuilding Center.
Violeta joined Meyer in 2016.
